Project Brief:
Rebuild the existing web site and give it a professional appearance while introducing a new integrated web store interface. The web site should act as a tool for generating sales and the design needs to enhance the internet marketing capabilities of the web site. Numerous ares of the website require a Content Management System (CMS) for ease of updates.
Solution:
Working with the client team, we designed and built an ecommerce web site meeting all of the objectives. The web site incorporates artwork and photographs that Mid-Atlanic uses in its print publications, and inventory database as well as some custom art for the web site. The new layout and design foster an easy to use and consistent presentation for browsers. The web site utilizes the Perfexion Data Manager (Content Management Systems - CMS) which provides Mid-Atlantic Packaging administration personnel with the ability to change the homepage Flash, key homepage areas, as well as several areas in the website not directly keyed to the inventory database. The website direclty interfaces with Mid-Atlantic Packaging's inventory applications allowing for uploads and downloads between the front end website and backend accounting and inventory systems.
